Law : Contract & Compliance Manager

Your tasks

• a. Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters, liaising with external vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• b. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, vendors, and partners, ensuring alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.
• c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract terms accurately reflect operational capabilities and business needs.
• d. Work closely with all business divisions to ensure timely contract renewal, amendment, or termination, ensuring that all terms and conditions support business objectives and risk mitigation strategies.
• e. Review tender documents and sales proposal terms and conditions, providing professional evaluation and recommendations.
• f. Serve as the gatekeeper for company compliance and governance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
• g. Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure Malaysia operations remain aligned with headquarters’ strategic directions and compliance standards.
• h. Support company secretary functions by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining statutory records, board resolutions, and compliance documents, ensuring timely submission and adherence to corporate governance requirements.
• i. Conduct periodic internal audits of contract processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• j. Any ad hoc tasks assigned by the Management.

Your qualifications

• a. Bachelor’s degree in law, or related field.
• b. At least 8 years of experience in contract management, legal, compliance, company secretarial functions or a similar role. Preferably in an IT, technology-driven and MNC environment.
• c. Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• d. Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
