The next generation of wireless communications, 6G, is made up of ten building blocks. One potential technology component is terahertz (THz) communications. This technology is expected to have many exciting applications in holographic communication, digital twinning, extended reality (XR), sensing, in vehicle entertainment and wireless data center connectivity. All these applications require extremely high data rates, necessitating higher frequencies in the THz range.
