Recently, China Mobile has selected the R&S SMM100A vector signal generator from Rohde & Schwarz to validate its 5G technology. The new signal source generates 5G signals in research applications to verify current and future 5G technologies. The project is a continuation of the long term cooperation between China Mobile and Rohde & Schwarz China.

The Contest GUI offers various test scenarios and is capable of performing conformance tests (PCT, RRM, RF) as well as NetOp (e.g., Skylo, T-Mobile Starlink) test cases, all within a single Contest GUI. Demo video showcasing first 5G test cases in FR1 to simulate specified test scenarios integrating base stations and satellites.

The latest software update to the R&S PWC200 plane wave converter (PWC) increases measurement accuracy and refines usability thanks to a new calibration method.
