Information Technology : Solution Architect (m/f/d) Cloud & Development

Your tasks

• You will define and drive the vision as technical leader for our web platforms and clouds, leveraging an event-driven architecture.
• You will design architecture blueprints, patterns, and technology standards for our system architecture with components like AWS (Amazon Web Services), DAM (Digital Asset Management), CMS, self developed web applications, search solutions, SAP backends.
• In addition you ensure adoption of best practices in cloud security, IAM provisioning and role assignment, SSO principles, token validation and regulatory compliance, including region-specific requirements (e.g., Great Firewall in China).
• Furthermore you drive the integration and orchestration of microservices using API Gateway, EventBus, Service Bus and streaming-based architectures.
• You also continuously improve performance, scalability and cost efficiency of our cloud platforms.
• On top you mentor and guide development teams in implementing cloud-native patterns, serverless architectures and infrastructure automation.
• But also collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security, IT Enterprise Architects) to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions will be part of your job as well as supporting and collaborating on cloud-related initiatives and projects.
• The support of observability strategies (CloudWatch Logs, Grafana) to ensure transparency, monitoring and system resilience completes this challenging job profile.

Your qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, with a successful track record of delivering event-driven AWS architecture.
• Deep understanding of modern web and cloud architectures (microservices, serverless computing, APIs, CDNs)
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud provider such as AWS or Azure, including Service Bus components and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Solid understanding of account & identity management (Auth0, IAM, SSO, provisioning and role assignment solutions).
• Experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and automation workflows (SAP Build Process Automation, CI/CD pipelines).
• Hands-on experience with Content and Asset Management systems is a plus (FirstSpirit, Aprimo).
• Prior hands-on experience as a software developer (Node.js, Python, or Java in cloud environments) is desirable.
• Experience with observability practices (CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Good communication and project management skills, with the ability to drive complex and agile cloud projects.
• Very good English and German communication skills.
