Rohde & Schwarz North America is seeking an experienced applications engineer to support the ADT market segment's Radar and Electronic Warfare strategy. This person would be responsible to develop, demonstrate and support applications-specific solutions using current R&S products and partners within the Electronic Warfare space. In the role, you will be the national subject matter expert for our complex/integrated Radar/EW test portfolio. An in-depth understanding of the Aero-Defense Market segment and Radar/EW applications segments will be needed. US citizenship is required for this role. The preferred work location for this position is the DFW area, however all qualified candidates residing in the US will be considered.

Your tasks

  • Lead capture planning and proposal development for major Aerospace & Defense opportunities.
  • Coordinate technical teams, solutions architects, and engineering contributors.
  • Develop compliant proposal volumes, statements of work, pricing support, and required documentation.
  • Maintain a library of proposal templates, past performance, and standardized quotation materials.
  • Support opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid recommendations.
  • Ensure alignment between solutions engineering, sales, and business development teams.
  • Align proposal process across R&S teams, and divisions.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE, ME, Systems, or related field).
  • 5+ years experience writing large-format A&D proposals.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Federal acquisition processes (DoD, FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with proposal development tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% nationally and occasional international travel.
  • In order to be considered, US citizenship is required for this role.

The total compensation for this position is $131K-$180K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
