Rohde & Schwarz North America is seeking an experienced applications engineer to support the ADT market segment radar and electronic warfare strategy. This person would be responsible to develop, demonstrate and support applications specific solutions using current R&S products and partners within the Electronic Warfare space. In the role, you will be the national subject matter expert for our complex/integrated Radar/EW test portfolio. An in-depth understanding of the Aero-Defense Market segment and Radar/EW applications segments will be needed.

Your tasks

Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
Provide technical leadership for opportunity support across multiple regions.
Pre/Post-sales support of integrated test systems i.e. IRAPS, R&SGen
Support and consulting of customer test plan implementation and development
Develop and present seminars and customer training sessions that can be deployed nationally.
Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes and professional articles
Provide technical feedback to the product lines and partner companies
Coach and Mentor regional Applications Engineers supporting the ADT space.

Your qualifications

BSEE (or equivalent) with at least 5 years experience in RF.
Experience developing test systems that include Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators and Vector Network Analyzers Oscilloscopes.
Experience testing Radars, Interrogators and other EW Systems
Experience with complex High Density EW target generation and environment simulation
In depth knowledge of HIL/SIL requirements in the EW space
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% nationally and occasional international travel
Previous experience with R&S and competitor test equipment is a plus
Customer facing and sales environment experience
Programming experience (C/C++, Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, LabVIEW, etc) a plus

The total compensation for this position is $120K-$200K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
